Dec 15th: Natural Indigo Dye Workshop! (Registration includes materials fee)

Join us at The Permaculture Place as we delve into natural indigo dyeing! This is the beautiful blue color obtained from the indigo plant! Make a natural indigo vat to dye cotton, linen and silk.
You will learn how to set up a natural indigo vat and prepare your cloth to create beautiful Shibori-style patterns. You will learn how to dye cloth and indigo, ensuring the best possible outcome for different shades of blue. Each participant will receive a variety of scoured cloth pieces to dye in our indigo vats.
This is a fun and interesting introduction to natural indigo dyeing! Prior experience with dyeing is not necessary to take this class. Beginners welcome!
Cost for our class is $90 (includes $65 for the workshop and the material fee of $25 for the prepared cloth and indigo for use in the class).
Additional cloth and indigo kits will be available for purchase to anyone interested in continuing the work at home, after learning this skill from Marjorie.
