Fundraise Yourself!
Here are some tips:
1) Professional Development: Your college or business may have money set aside for their employees or students to learn new skills and improve their knowledge base. Ask your supervisor or your department or club to help you fund the tuition for this course.
2) Get Sponsored: Reach out to family and friends in exchange for a report back after the course. Previous students have used the permaculture crowdfunding letter that we have for you (Write us an email to request more info about fundraising for your tuition). Along with the sponsorship request letter, you can send your friends and family our two minute video that explains this course, and requests that they consider sponsoring you to attend this training. Send us an email requesting the link to this video and we can send you directions about how to use this video tool for fundraising. This has been a very successful tool for students who are fundraising for their own tuition!
3) Throw a Fundraising Event: Use fresh veggies from your garden. Tell people a little bit about permaculture and what you plan to do with what you learn, then ask people to donate $25, $50, or $100 to help you achieve your goals. Ask some friends to play music or donate food. You will only need to convince a party’s worth of people to give money to cover your costs.
~ We are also in the process of setting up a sponsorship program, so inquire by email about this potential source of tuition funding.
